Finding the right therapist is such an important step in feeling better. You need to feel comfortable and understood. My style is all about empathy and understanding, and to give you a non-judgmental space where you can be open and vulnerable. Where you can be yourself.

Life can feel overwhelming.

I know that the idea of making big changes feel intimidating. That's why I believe in small goals. Together we will break down your journey into small manageable steps, while also celebrating each accomplishment along the way.

What will we do together?

Throughout our sessions we'll focus on changing your behaviour in a way that aligns with your values. We will work to understand what truly matters to you so that you can grow and develop in the way you want to. Together we will explore your core values and decide on small steps to help you achieve your goals.

Taking action is really important. No matter how small.

I'll support and encourage you to apply the strategies we discuss in our sessions in to your everyday life. Whether it's practicing mindfulness exercises, implementing positive routines, or embracing new perspectives, we'll find the steps that feel right for you.

Remember, this journey is about progress, not perfection.

There's no such thing as failing in our work together, only opportunities to learn and practice and try again. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you - I won’t rush you or make you feel judged if you need to go slow. Self-acceptance is really important when it comes to change and growth and so together we'll find ways to improve your self-acceptance to help you create a feeling of compassion and understanding for yourself. Accepting yourself at each stage of your journey is what allows you to truely change.

I have a Masters of Clinical Psychology and I work using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), DBT, ACT and positive psychology. I believe in finding your values, taking action towards them, and taking small steps that you can achieve and feel proud of. Each little change is one more step towards your goal.

My aim is for you to feel valued, comfortable, open, heard, and to ultimately start feeling better.

In our sessions we will work together to find the therapy and strategies that work best for you. This means I won’t just follow one therapy style but might switch between them in the session or throughout our work. It also means sometimes we might do lots of talking to further our understanding of who you are and what triggers you or helps you, and at other times we might delve in to more teaching and learning style sessions.

I follow your lead, if you want more strategies then I can work with you on that, but if you want deeper understanding and someone to listen I’m also here for that as well. It’s your space.
