About Me

If you’d like to read more about my services you can find more here. Or if you’d like to go ahead and book a session head to the book now page :)

Hi, I’m Jess. I completed my Bachelor of Psychology with Honours in Coffs Harbour at SCU, and then went on to do a Masters of Clinical Psychology which I finished in 2010.

I started private practice after a short break in 2013, where I worked in Coffs Harbour at a small practice, and then was asked to join the Headspace team working with youth at the end of that year.

I worked part time at both locations for a few years, and then I left the little practice to start working part time at DOCS and headspace. DOCS (now DCJ) was interesting, but I liked private work better so I ended up just settling at headspace full time. Then in 2017 I decided to start my own practice and I moved in to an old, yet sweet, little office in Kimberley House. And I’m still there now.

I really like private practice and I see myself doing this for years to come. I like being able to listen to people and build a safe space where they can come in and talk about anything without judgement. I feel humbled to be the only one sometimes that clients have opened up to and I like seeing the change from a client who is initially nervous or anxious to come to session, to someone who knows they can say anything and be supported.
