FAQ’s

  • I work only with women over 12 years old as this is my area of speciality. I can assist with working through anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, confidence, personality disorders (BPD), ASD (though I don’t provide diagnostic services for this or ADHD), ADHD, and adjustment disorders.

  • I predominantly use CBT, Mindfulness, motivational interviewing, problem solving, skills training and DBT therapies, with aspects of ACT and relaxation training.

  • I have completed a Bachelor in Psychology, as well as a Masters in Clinical Psychology. I have also completed post graduate units in Nutrition, and courses on DBT, Eating Disorders and BPD.

  • You can complete your session in person (address below) or online. I recommend attending in person where possible as face to face sessions are almost always better. Please note that medicare rebates may not be available for online sessions - contact me for assistance with this.

  • The fees from 1st July 2022 are:

    $180 for a standard session

$160 for a health care card holder

You will likely be eligible for a rebate of $129.55 if you have a referral and Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Either book in with your GP, or contact me for more information about this if you aren’t sure.

If you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the above payments (even with the rebate) then you may be eligible for bulk billed sessions through Healthy Minds North Coast. Please contact me for more information on this (or see your GP) so that we can discuss this referral pathway.

Please note: The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2022-2023 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $280.  To keep my fees affordable for you I will always remain well below the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fees.

  • Unfortunately I do not do assessments at this time. This may change in the future.

  • I am not specialised in Court reports or assessment so I do not provide this service. If someone unexpectedly needs to attend court I will sometimes write a letter for them, however this is not a specialised Court report or assessment.

  • Because I am often in session with clients, the best form of contact is through email or text message, as then I can respond when I am out of session. You can find my contact details above. I will endeavour to get back to you within 2 working days.

  • Appointments need to be canceled with at least 48 hours notice.

It is not my preferred option to invoice for missed appointments or late cancellations, but in fairness to others on the wait list, and the acknowledgement of my time, notice is required or a $75 cancellation fee will be charged. Please be aware that this fee will not be rebated by Medicare, as medicare will only pay for appointments that are attended.

If on the day you realise that for some reason you cannot in attend in person, you are very welcome to complete your session by phone or internet. This also will avoid any late fee, and means you can still attend your session.
