Affirmations - Version 1

A$0.00

I like to call these “average affirmations” - they are affirmations that I think are more believable and achievable. Affirmations can help you to allow positive beliefs to sink in, especially if they are repeated over time. This can be a really good practice because often people tell themselves a lot of negative things and the positive self talk is way out of balance. So choosing some things you can tell yourself over time can help that balance and give you a better sense of wellbeing. These affirmations were designed to be really gentle for people who are struggling. So I use words like “I will try” or “I am working on” instead of “I am” - this is to help on those days where it doesn’t feel possible, or where even small goals can be out of reach. Soon I will add more affirmations that are stronger and a little more advanced.

In this download you will receive a printable PDF page - where you can cut out all the affirmations and have a hard copy. They were designed to be more printer friendly so they are less colourful. You will also receive seperate JPG images that might be used on your phone Lock Screen, a computer screen or saved digitally.

If you are trying to allow these affirmations to really sink in then I would suggest focusing on one each week. Also consider a time where you can really allow this affirmation some time to sink in - even 30 seconds can be enough, but devoting those 30 seconds to thinking about the affirmation and really trying to feel it. Affirmations are about acknowledging new beliefs and ideas, and that doesn’t really happen if it is something you read quickly without thought. I have practiced my affirmations after I brush my teeth - for me this is a routine that I do every day for a few minutes, so integrating something for 30 seconds daily felt really doable. It could also be a good idea to practice in the shower, or while having morning coffee or breakfast - any task you do every day where you can add a minute in for your affirmation can help. Plus it just helps you remember to practice!
